A convenience fee applies for payments made through Express Pay ($4.95) or by phone ($16.50)
- ACH (checking or savings account): Available through all payment platforms
- Debit card: Available through Express Pay and the Teachers Contact Center

- ACH payments are typically withdrawn within 3 business days
- Debit card payments will appear as pending immediately; final processing may take 1–2 business days, depending on your financial institution
Yes. You can schedule a payment up to 30 days in advance using Teachers Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Quick Pay, Express Pay, or by contacting the Teachers Contact Center.
Yes. You can cancel a scheduled payment through Teachers Online Banking, Mobile Banking, or Quick Pay if the payment is not scheduled for the same day. To cancel the payment, log in to the same platform where the payment was originally scheduled.
To cancel a same-day payment or any payment made through Express Pay, contact the Teachers Contact Center at 1-800-341-4333 before 6:00 PM ET. The cancellation may take up to 3 business days to appear on your account.
Yes. You can modify a scheduled payment through Teachers Online Banking, Mobile Banking, or Quick Pay if the payment is not scheduled for the same day. To make changes, log in to the same platform where the payment was originally scheduled.
Yes. You can set up recurring payments (AutoPay) through Teachers Online Banking, Mobile Banking, or Quick Pay. AutoPay is not available through Express Pay or the Teachers Contact Center.
Yes. You can change the amount, date, or frequency of your AutoPay through Teachers Online Banking, Mobile Banking, or Quick Pay up to 3 days before the next scheduled payment. To make changes, log in to the same platform where the AutoPay was originally established.
Yes. You can make additional payments through Teachers Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Express Pay, or Quick Pay by selecting the payment type during the payment process.
You will be notified if your payment is declined and will need to resubmit the payment. Declined payments are not automatically retried.
Scheduled: The payment has been scheduled for a future date.
Processing: The payment is currently being processed.
Accepted: The payment has been received successfully and is being prepared for posting.
Declined: The payment attempt was unsuccessful (e.g., insufficient funds).
Failed: The payment could not be completed as scheduled (e.g., expired card).
Canceled/Void: The payment was canceled before it was processed. There was no movement of money from the external financial institution to Teachers.
Refunded: The payment was canceled after settlement, and the funds are being refunded to the original form of payment.
Returned: The payment was reversed due to insufficient funds (NSF).
