If you apply for a loan, you will be asked to provide basic information such as the amount you wish to borrow, your purpose for requesting a loan, contact information, and your income. Teachers may ask you for additional information.

If you apply for a loan, Teachers will conduct a hard credit inquiry, which may have an impact on your credit score and/or the loan amount offered to you.

Rates vary based on creditworthiness, income, and the term of the loan requested.  Teachers offers loans with a period of repayment between 12 and 72 months. The lowest rate advertised rate of 7.99% APR assumes excellent credit, a loan term of no more than 36 months, and includes a 0.5% APR discount for AutoPay, an automatic internal transfer from a Teachers checking account.  Longer terms may have higher rates. For example:

8.49% APR is available for a maximum term of 36 months. For a term of 36 months with a personal loan rate of 8.49% APR, an estimated monthly payment of $31.45 per $1,000.00 borrowed.

9.24% APR is available for a maximum term of 60 months. For a term of 60 months with a personal loan rate of 9.24% APR, an estimated monthly payment of $20.88 per $1,000.00 borrowed.

11.24% APR is available for a maximum term of 72 months. For a term of 72 months with a personal loan rate of 11.24% APR, an estimated monthly payment of $19.16 per $1,000.00 borrowed.

These are examples only.  If approved, your loan amount, interest rates, and monthly payment may differ from these examples based on the length of the term selected, your current income, creditworthiness, and other factors.

Minimum loan amount for terms of 61–72 months is $20,000.00.

Minimum monthly personal loan payment amount for any loan is $20.00.

If approved, Teachers will present you with your actual loan terms, including Annual Percentage Rate, total interest charges, amount financed, total payments, and repayment schedule (including your monthly payment amount). Teachers will also present you with the required loan disclosures and your loan agreement, which you must execute to receive the funds.

Teachers may deny your application due to your financial condition, creditworthiness, or other reasons as required or permitted by law.

To obtain a loan from Teachers, membership is required by opening a Regular Savings Account with a minimum of $1.00 deposit prior to loan closing.
