TFCU Switch Kit

Making The Educated Choice has never been easier. We have provided this switch kit to give you a step-by-step guide that will allow you to close your old accounts at other financial institutions and switch over to TFCU easily and conveniently.

Step 1. Open your Teachers Federal Credit Union Checking Account. This can be done at any one of our branches. When you open your account, don't forget to make it perfect by enrolling in the following services:

Free Online Banking
Free Online Bill Payer
Free VISA Debit Card with ATM Access
Free E-Statements and E-Notices
Free 24/7 Telephone Banking

Step 2. Stop using your old account. Stop writing checks and making debit purchases from your old account and start using your TFCU Checking Account.

Step 3. Switch any automatic payments and direct deposits over to TFCU. Automatic payments may include credit card, utility, and insurance companies. Direct Deposits may include your employer, Social Security Administration, retirement plan, or any other income sources. You will need to fill out one form for each company and financial institution.

Step 4. Close your old accounts at your previous financial institution. Make sure your last check and debit purchases have cleared, all automatic withdrawals and direct deposits have been switched over to your new TFCU account, then close your old account(s). Fill out the form below to instruct your old financial institution to close your account(s) and send a check with the remaining balance.
