Q: What is Online Check Deposit?
A: Online Check Deposit allows you to make check deposits via our Online Banking service at anytime. After you complete the session, the funds are immediately available in your corresponding TFCU Account.
Q: How do I qualify to use Online Check Deposit?
A: Members who are currently enrolled in our
Educated Choice program are automatically qualified to use Online Check Deposit. Participation in the
Educated Choice program requires a combined minimum average monthly deposit balance of $2,500, or more in your TFCU deposit account(s). You must also have access to our Online Banking services.
Q: How do I use Online Check Deposit?
A: To start using Online Check Deposit, do the following:
- Login to our Online Banking.
- Click the MORE button, then click Online Check Deposit and follow the simple steps.
- Write your Session# on the front of your envelope, then mail to:

- Once your session is completed, the funds you deposited are immediately available in your account. IMPORTANT: TFCU must receive your check(s) within 7 business days.
Q: How much can I deposit?
A: You can deposit check(s) up to a total of $1,000.
Q: What if I have more than $1,000.00 in check deposits that I need to deposit?
A: TFCU will allow you to deposit up to a total of $1,000.00. Once you have made an Online Check Deposit, the maximum total dollar amount that you are eligible to deposit is reduced by the dollar amount of your recent deposit(s). For example, if you made an Online Check Deposit for total of $700.00 and mailed the check(s) to TFCU as instructed, your remaining allowable deposit amount in Online Check Deposit service will be $300.00. When we received and posted the $700.00 check(s) you deposited, you will again be allowed to deposit up to $1,000.00 in Online Check Deposit. The allowable deposit amount will always be displayed at the top of the Online Check Deposit screen once you are logged in.
Q: What if I was not able to mail the check(s) within 7 days?
A: If TFCU does not receive the check(s) within 7 business days, TFCU will reverse your deposit, and your privilege to use Online Check Deposit will be suspended.
Q: Are their any fees associated with using the Online Check Deposit service?
A: No. Online Check Deposit is free to our Educated Choice members. If a deposited item is returned for any reason, the standard returned check fee will be assessed to your account.
